This
year is a special one for Labowi Promotions in St.Lucia, as they are
staging the 10th edition of Jazz in the South, and as they are
moving to our new venue, the Jazz Campus, located at La
Resource, Vieux Fort in St.Lucia. This is a large and highly
convenient venue, with the potential to become a very suitable site
for major concerts. Labowi Promotions are working closely with the
Vieux-Fort Secondary School and other partners to create a unique
atmosphere and to ensure that the event is successful. They are also
encouraged by the fact that the move to this new location will
result in an increase in economic and social benefits to surrounding
communities.
Labowi
Promotion's main event will be held at the Jazz Campus on
Sunday 7 May, in Vieux-Fort St.Lucia (south of the Island) with
Richard Bona from Cameroon, Carimi from Haiti, Saint Lucian Jazz
Band Black Antz, and reggae artist Nelly Stharre from Dominica. The
free events will be held between Monday 8 May and Thursday 11 May
2006 in Soufriere, on the South West Coast of the island Vieux Fort,
St. Jude and Laborie, in the South with bands and musicians from
Cuba, Saint Lucia, Puerto Rico, Dominica, Antigua and France. Labowi
promotions promises you another unique experience in Caribbean
Jazz and World Music.
